Doctor Who

Doctor Who did well at the TV Awards this week winning 3 awards so hopefully that will have a knock on effect for the fantastic Doctor Who products that we have at The Memorabilia Shop.

There has been a great deal happening at The Memorabilia Shop this week, we have been having quite a few hits though, just hope we can turn them into sales.

Busy Weekend At The Memorabilia Shop

The weekend is here at last but that doesn`t mean that I am going to get any rest. There is plenty of work to do on the great new design of the website and then of course there is the newsletter to finish. On top of all of that I have to go in to work tomorrow morning, then off to football as well as looking for more stock for the website. I may get a bit of a rest sometime just before Monday morning.

The Memorabilia Shop New Design

How busy? At the moment I am working on a new design for the website as well as trying to deal with orders and sort the mortgage out. At least we have been told that the mortgage offer has come through.
We`ve been looking at doing some CPC`s on Google to get some more customers in, depends on how much we want to spend though.
Dog training tonight so might not have much time for web designing.
Speak soon.

Reduced Postal Rates

We have now been able to reduce the postal rates to the countries outside of the Uk. Unfortunately though at the moment the postal rates still rely on the weight of the item but we hope to change all of that pretty soon.

Christmas Memorabilia Stock

I have said it before but just to make sure, there are only about 60 days to go to Christmas and as stocks are predicted to run out very quickly, Claire is having a baby in December and we are also moving house I would advise you all to get your orders in as quickly as possible to avoid any disappointment. I t also gives us chance to order more stock if it is needed.

Paperwork and backups

Bit quiet again today so far on the website but personally I am busy copying photos off the laptop onto disk so that it can be repaired. I know that I should have done it a while ago but you know how it is. Also a mountain of mortgage paperwork to fill in amongst other things.

Memorabilia Competitor

Whilst delivering mail in my local shopping centre today I saw someone selling filmcells, photos and cigarette cards. Out of noseyness I took a look at his prices and noticed that his Minicells were £4.50 dearer than ours and ours includes postage and packing. I just dont understand how somepeople can charge so much for things.

Christmas Countdown

Sorry to bring the bad new but it is:

So please order early to avoid any disappointment.

Busy Week Ahead at The Memorabilia Shop

First of all my apologies for very little posting last week, both myself and claire were very busy and also unwell. We were tied up in sorting mortgages out and buying a house which hopefully should go through in the next 6-8 weeks.
What a great weekend it was, I went to St Andrews yesterday to watch Villa beat Birmingham :).

On the Website front we are just gearing up towards Christmas. As stated before I am looking at producing our first Newsletter, we are also looking at some new Doctor Who stuff and redesigning the Website especially for Christmas.

This week is going to be a very busy one with all the work on the Website, trying to cut the dogs nails and getting read for the House move.

First Newsletter

Well once again we`ve lost another house, this time someone beat us to it even though we put the better offer in.

At the moment I am working on The Memorabilia Shop`s first newsletter, hopefully I will be able to send it out in the next couple of weeks. It will contain forthcoming new products, existing products and maybe even a competiton. If you want to sign up for the Newsletter go to The Memorabilia Shop and click on New Regestration.

Email Catch-up

It has been a bit of a quite week so far this week at The Memorabilia Shop apart from catching up with last weeks emails that is.

Hopefully I will get the chance to do some bookwork as well this week before I get too snowed under.

On a personal note the house we had but an offer on has fallen through but we have viewed another one and put an offer in on that so hopefully that will be ok.

Good Rest

As stated on Friday we are back from our holidays and the website is up and running again as though we never left.
The holiday was superb, we had a great rest. We never even touched a computer once. Unfortunately we didn`t get to distribute many of our advertising cards as the Magaluf was so tidy we didn`t want to litter anywhere.
One sour note was that we came home to find our house move had fallen through, but we are on the lookout for another place as we speak.
